My brow journey started out with a pencil, moved on to a loose pigment and then finally made its way to an actual brow powder. When I first started doing my brows, I had no idea what to get and what to do with what I got. When in need, YouTube it. I found a really easy way to fill in my brows, it's pretty much idiot proof and I still fill them in the same way. So, what about the product? I pretty much just went to a MAC counter and said, "Help?!" They were super nice and I walked out with a brow pencil in 'Spiked' and a nervous feeling because I had just spend $16 on a brow pencil and I wasn't even sure I'd be able to use it. I stopped by Target and bought an angled brow brush and I was good to go. Everything was just fine, I found the pencil to be a little too harsh even after I used the brush to blend and pull the color through my brow. Regardless, I used to the whole thing up and then, instead of getting another pencil that I wasn't really thrilled with in the first place, I tried loose shadows with that same angled brow brush. I really liked the loose shadow, it was a lot easier to work with and it was easier for me to blend and pull the color throughout my brow. I had been eyeing the brow powders from Brazen Cosmetics ever since they were released. They have a HUGE range of colors and since I dye my hair different shades of red, this really made me happy. I put it off for a long time thinking that the loose shadows were just fine and then one day I just decided to order.
And here we are now.

[Differences]
- The brow powder has more of a creamy feel to it. It looks just like loose shadow in a jar but it's more of a powder to light cream finish.
- The brow powder actually 'hugs' my brow hairs and brings them together to make a flawless finish.
- The brow powder goes on effortlessly, no blending needed, just move the color where you want it.
- No primer is needed to make the brow powder stay. I put this on at 7am one morning, partied that night, fell asleep in my makeup and the next morning my brows looked perfect, like I had just done them!
- The formula makes for an easy no fallout experience. If you dab your brush in the product and then tap, it's pretty much going straight from brush to brow, no fallout at all. Even after I tap the loose shadow off, I still get fallout when I try to pull the color through my brows.
- The color from the brow powder is really intense, no primer is necessary. It's just a huge difference between just a regular pigment.
Would I buy again? For sure! I love this product, everything about it makes me really happy. If you asked me what I would change about it, I could honestly say nothing at all.
Swatches are over bare skin with no primer. They're also one dip into product.
I just straight applied both to my brows, no primer or anything.
I'd like you to click on the photos to make them as big as they'll get and really look at the brows. There aren't any harsh lines with the brow powder, it lays the hairs down and it just gives amazing coverage.
Have you tried a brow powder from Brazen Cosmetics yet? Do you want to?!
What do you use on your brows now?

You did a great job, they look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThanks!!
DeleteThat looks great. I've been using the Urban Decay brow box for over a year now. Dark for night and light for day.
ReplyDeleteI can't make the brow box match me. I have hair that ranges from medium brown to dark brown with a red tint so, it's a pain in the ass if I want something to actually MATCH my hair. She has a ton of shades, I love it. I'm going to order a few more for when I dye my hair. lol
DeleteWow!!! This makes me want to try these out so bad now! If only I had the cash to. Haha
ReplyDeleteThey come in three different sizes. I got the 3g jar and it was super reasonable and there's a TON of powder in the jar.
DeleteI found Jane to be a bit too dark for my coloring, especially with how red my hair is dyed. But i LOOOOOVE Clara. One of my co-workers is a daily brow powder user and she commented on how natural the powder looked after I told her I finally started using some. I love Clara because it gives my brows the hint of red to blend with my hair and fills them out so well. My sister has darker hair naturally so I'm going to gift my 3g of Jane to her...and my mom just ordered some Clara for her. So amazing.
ReplyDeleteJane matches perfectly with fresh color but I need to order one a shade lighter for when it starts to fade. The 3g jar has so much in it!!
DeleteI need to try some of this stuff. My brows are way lighter than my hair, I have a lot of blonde brow hairs and the hair on my head is naturally a reddish brown. I have a Lancôme brow pencil my mother gave me that just kinda looks...meh.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link, they look great!
My hair is naturally a medium ashy blonde and red and my brows, as you can see, are like, three different colors that range from light to medium. I also have thin brows so, I really needed something to fill them in. I dye my hair dark though so, I needed something FOR SURE. lol
DeleteMy brow density is about the same as yours. I also have one that has a great natural arch and the other just looks gimpy compared to it. And the one with the great natural arch has a huge chunk of hair missing toward the outer portion...thanks to someone setting part of my eyebrows on fire in college. I didn't start filling in my brows until a few months ago and just used what I had available. I definitely need to take more time with it.
DeleteThe brow powders are very user friendly. Like, you seriously can't mess it up as long as out have an outline to work with. Sometimes I get some on my skin but it just wipes right off, no problem. Loose shadows and pencils are much much harder to get off of skin. She has a super small size for people looking for a color match too. I just started filling my brows in about a year ago. Looking back, I can't believe there was a time when I didn't fill them in. It was just really intimidating for a long time.
DeleteYou have such awesome brows, great pics! Thanks for spreading the word about the brow powders! I'm *obsessed* with eye brows and dye my hair like Jessica Rabbit red, but could never for the life of me find a matching color. So I had to make one! :)
ReplyDeleteYou should message them about it!! They're trying to do a huge rainbow of colors for everyone!
